The ground was shaking from their movement. It was telling me that they were getting closer. I would soon be able to smell their sent. A howl filled the air and only now did I take a step away. The smell of their fur came with the wind and my body and brain was fighting about if I should run or stand my ground.
The Werewolfs always hunted in a pack and does not like trespassers on their hunting grounds. My body won the argument and I started to run. They would probably catch me but why not give them a chase? I had not run for long till I heard a loud roar in my head. My own  beast wanted some fun and wanted me to shift.
I would not be faster but if it came down to a fight I would have a bigger chance at getting out alive. A bear after all is stronger than a wolf. I stopped for a few seconds to shift form even though I knew it gave the Werewolfs time to catch some ground. The feeling of the muscles and bones changing places and forms still felt weird. It had already been a year since the attack. I was told it would "grown on me". As soon as the shift was over I started to run again. I could smell that they were not that far away. It would not be long till I was surrounded by a pack of Werewolfs.
There was something moving at the corner of my eye and two seconds after noticing one of the Werewolfs tried to ram me. It was a jolt of pain on my left side but I could not stop running. I was not going to give up so easily. They would have to force me down before I would stop. Guess people were true when they said I am stubborn. One of the Werewolfs leaped and landed on my back. It sank its claws in my back to keep it from sliding of. It hurt more than my first shift. I needed to get the Werewolf off my back but me trying to throw it off my bucking like a horse did sadly only give me more pain as the claws sank in deeper. If I were not chased by the other Werewolfs I would have thrown myself on the back either getting the Werewolf off or crushing it under my body. But doing that would have given the other Werewolfs the opportunity to jump me.
